Nollywood On Netflix In April

 



This month of April seems to be a promising month as Nollywood enthusiasts will be treated to four movies on Netflix.

From Easter Sunday, 4th of April, is Fisherman’s Diary, a story about a 12-year old girl, Ekah who is determined to go to school and get an education in a Cameroonian village of Fishermen. The movie stars Ramsey Nouah and Cameroon’s songstress, Daphne Njie, alongside others.

Ojukokoro, a Dark comedy about a cash-strapped manager who decides to rob a petrol station, but discovers that he is not the only one on that criminal quest will be streaming from the 9th of April. It has a parade of Nollywood stars that include Wale Ojo (Fifty, Meet the Adebanjo’s), Tope Tedela,(Slow County) Linda Ejiofor (Meeting Room, Chief Daddy) Somkele Idahalama (Lara & The Beat, Wedding Party 1&2) Zainab Balogun (The Royal Hibiscus Hotel, Slyvia) and Hafiz Oyetoro.

Genevieve Nnaji leads a cast of Nollywood & Hollywood actors in an intriguing story of a cancer specialist, whose determination to save the life of a seven-year patient, after losing his own Ten-year old daughter to cancer, leads him to the hills of Idanre, Ondo State Nigeria. Directed by Tony Abulu, Doctor Bello will premiere on the 16th of April

And finally, is Oloibiri, a Niger - Delta action-thriller starring Richard Mofe – Damijo and Olu Jacobs that tells the story of Oil exploitation in the newly discovered historic town, and the resistance and revolution by the indigenes against the perpetrators. It will start streaming on the 21st  of April.
