Seven, starring Richard Mofe Damijo, Efa Iwara, and Bimbo Manuel is the latest Nollywood entry on Netflix. It tells the story of how a wealthy young irresponsible man, Kolade(Iwara) was subjected to spend 7 days in the low income and notorious area of Ajegunle, Lagos, in order to claim his inheritance left by his father, Mr. Tayo (Bimbo Manuel)
With the assistance of his late father's driver and close friend, Ejiro (RMD), Kolade was not just able to survive in AJ City but discovered that the 7 Day ordeal was a whole set up to eliminate him.
Aside from writing, directing, and photographing this gritty action drama, Tosin Igho (Eve, Nneka the Pretty Serpent REMAKE) did a good job with the car chasing and fighting scenes. That explains why he was part of creating the visual effects.
The two-hour feature-length movie also starred Daddy Showkey who I would have preferred to play Ejiro, but I guess he would not have matched up to the chemistry between RMD and Manuel . That's not to suggest that the casting wasn't good though because Uche Nwaefuna who played Ejiro's niece, Efe, and Edgar Eriakha playing his son,Tega lived up to the bill and there was still a cameo role to cast and fit in Sadiq Baba, the late veteran actor who shot to limelight in NTA's TV series, Cock Crow at Dawn created by Tosin's father, Peter Igho.
