A WEEKEND WITH RMD ON NETFLIX

Richard Mofe Damijo needs no introduction when it comes to talking about Nollywood.

He is simply an outstanding Nigerian actor of note. While forging a career as a print journalist, he discovered his true calling when he was cast as a villain in the popular TV series Checkmate. He plunged into the then Home Video industry and starred in various movies working with the likes of Liz Benson as screen partner. And from then on, the Theatre Arts graduate has been growing from strength to strength.

In 1997 he tried his hands at producing and came out with a movie titled Out of Bounds.

2005 was a milestone year for the actor as he became the 1st winner of AMAAs Best Actor in a Leading role award. It was also the first of many coveted awards, which includes 2012 Best of Nollywood Special Recognition Award. In 2016, he sealed it with an AMAA Lifetime Achievement Award.
