WAR OF WRATH AND REVENGE : 'Binta' and the 'Sons of Caliphate' continue in a fresh political battle on Netflix

Sons Of Caliphate: War of Wrath & Revenge, a six-part series starring Rahama Sadau, Mofe Duncan, Bikiya Graham Douglas, and Yakubu Mohammed, is a well-produced drama that falls short of the expected intensity for a thrilling narrative.

Sequenced from the 2016/18 drama series created and produced by Dimbo Atiya, who also directed the current series, continues the political tension built up between three friends, Diko Loko (Mohammed) Kalifa Maiyaki (Paul Sambo) and Nuhu Bala (Duncan) who incidentally as youngsters had caused the death of a farmer through reckless driving. The only daughter of the farmer, Binta grew up determined to avenge her father's death. This became the plot that drove the narrative in the first season.

The second season continues with a different twist, and Binta, now married to Nuhu Bala, is seen as the driving force behind her husband's ambition of becoming the next governor of Kowa State. However, new developments fuelled by greed and corruption in high places and skeletons of the past sprouting up seem to obstruct Nuhu’s ambition. The ever-decisive and deadly Binta can handle the challenges but must contend with law enforcement, characterised by ASP Mariam Katung (Bikiya Graham Douglas), who is determined to bring the uncontrollable power of the high and mighty to justice.

Also starring Theresa Edem Isemin, Ifeanyi Kalu, Ayoola Ayolola and Patrick Doyle, War of Wrath and Revenge streams on Netflix
