Unfaithfuls, starring Omoni Oboli, Chioma Chukwuka-Apotha, and Daniel Etim Effiong, is an intensely romantic drama packed with unimaginable deceits, infidelity, backbiting and scheming between friends, lovers and married couples.
Omoni Oboli, who also produced this well-scripted narrative, takes on the role of the cunning and manipulative Vivian—a married woman entangled in a forbidden affair with her best friend Idera's husband. Played by Chioma Chukwuka-Apotha, Idera is trapped in an unhappy marriage with two children, unaware that her confidant, Vivian, is the root of her marital woes. As Idera seeks solace in a budding online friendship with Kanye (Etim Effiong), she becomes entangled in yet another scheme orchestrated by Kanye's deceitful girlfriend, Judith, a Vivian carbon copy who catfishes Idera to extort money. Meanwhile, Vivian fuels Idera's emotional escape, harbouring sinister intentions of claiming her husband.
Though the 97-minute feature lacks good editing and cinematography, the cast, including Bimbo Manuel, Anthony Manjaro and Chy Nwakanwa, brilliantly interprets the roles and delivers a captivating narrative that keeps unfolding with layers of intrigue.
