The Wedding Party is a 2016 comedy blockbuster starring Adesua Etomi, Bankole Wellington, Sola Sobowale, Richard Mofe Damijo, Ireti Doyle, Alibaba and Zainab Balogun. 

Directed by Kemi Adetiba, the romantic comedy follows the chaos and drama that unfold during the lavish wedding ceremony of Dunni Coker (Etomi) and Dozie Onwuka Wellington, who incidentally are from a wealthy but different cultural backgrounds. While Dunni’s parents, the flamboyant Cokers (Sobowale and Alibaba), are Yorubas, Dozie’s aristocratic family, the Onwuzias (Doyle and RMD) are Igbos. 

What’s supposed to be the perfect, fairy-tale wedding quickly unravels as family tensions, class differences, and unexpected guests threaten to ruin the day despite the efforts of the posh wannabe event’s coordinator, Wonu (Balogun). Amid all the comedic chaos, the couple must navigate these challenges to protect their new union
