Circuits, Africa’s leading virtual cinema and digital entertainment platform, has announced a landmark partnership with Blue Pictures to co-produce and distribute premium African titles while driving initiatives that strengthen the continent’s creative economy, particularly by empowering women and youth.

Both organisations described the alliance as a game-changer for Nollywood and African creators, noting that the partnership goes beyond business. It is about rewriting the future of African cinema by building bridges to global audiences while ensuring women and youth have real opportunities to thrive.
They also highlighted Circuits’ commitment to transparency and fair monetisation, with producers now accessing back-end data, detailed analytics, and consistent revenue streams beyond their initial licensing fees. Several producers have already received additional payouts, reinforcing the platform’s vision of ensuring filmmakers benefit directly from their work.

“With unmatched content protection, global distribution, and premium storytelling, this partnership safeguards intellectual property, rewards filmmakers, and strengthens the African creative economy,” the companies said in a joint statement.
Already, the partnership has hinted at exciting new releases, including Family Brouhaha, a star-studded comedy-drama directed by Femi Adebayo, that will showcase the richness and diversity of African storytelling.
