One standout scene from the 2013 movie, Hopeful Lovers and Sequel, Pot of Money, starring Patience Ozorkwo, Mike Ezuronye, and Nuelle Njubuigbo, that really captures the heart of the story.
Directed by Tchidi Chikere, the film follows the Okwocha family, who relocate from the city to the village after Mr. Okwocha’s retirement. While this new chapter seems like a fresh start, it doesn’t sit well with his wife, Mabel ( Ozorkwo), who dreams of marrying off her daughter to a wealthy man something she believes the village simply can’t offer.
In contrast, their calm and kind-hearted daughter, Erinma,(Njubigbo ) or as her mum who have preferred, Chelsea, embraces the slower pace of village life. She even finds love in the most unexpected place with Obinna ( Ezuruonye ), an undergraduate village boy. But their relationship quickly sparks tension, as Madam Mabel strongly disapproves and is determined to stop it at all costs… even if it means going too far.
Written by Greg Chyke Inawodoh, this two-part family drama is backed by a solid supporting cast, that includes Ifeanyi Ikechukwu, Florence Owanta,Harry B, Dumbem Chisom, Stephanie Ekwu and Winifred Goodday
