Okawa on the other hand, a fresh hand in Screen Nollywood displayed a professionalism that is rarely seen in most up and coming actors of her generation. She interpreted the role so brilliantly that one could think she relieved a real-life character.
In My Country is an intriguing narrative about a young graduate ,Adesuwa from the notorious but a deprived area of West Central in Calabar, Cross River who lost her gang leader brother Okiti, as well as her partner. Became a single mother, struggled to make ends meet as a teacher and now faced with a life-threatening problem. Her daughter Eno, has a severe heart condition that requires an unimaginably expensive surgery. Adesua had to resolve to an option that she had left behind, Calling on the Captain of South Central for help. That triggered off a series of events that led to some shocking discoveries.
A brilliant job by Frank Rajah Arase the director and Kehinde Joseph the screenwriter.
