The Village Headmaster, one time popular Nigerian TV series is coming back to our screens come April 2021.
The new series will feature some original cast members playing their characters. notably Dejumo Lewis as the Oloja, Ibidun Allison as Amebo and Melville Obriango as Oghene. Jide Kosoko will be playing the Iconic Eleyinmi while Chris Iheuma is going to be the famous Oja Village Headmaster.
Some notable Nollywood actors will also be joining the cast list to play new key roles and this includes Racheal Oniga as Iyalode, Mr Latin as Councillor Kogberegbe, Ronke Oshodi as Iya Oloja , Rykardo Agbor as Iginla and Yemi Sodimu as Dr Lekan alongside others .
Kate Adepegba will be playing Folake the sewing mistress a character created to replace Sisi Clara while Tunde Aderinoye will be playing the son of Lakunle Ojo as Junior
Created by Segun Olusola the drama series was originally aired as a radio programme before debuting on TV in 1968. It was later renamed in the 80s as The New Village Headmaster, and ran for 20 years before it was rested in 1988.
The revised series is produced by Wale Adenuga' s WAP Productions in conjunction with The Nigerian Television Authority.
