Jide Kosoko, a veteran actor by all standards, is a year older today. Kosoko has been active since the age of 10 when he starred in a TV production titled Makanjuola.
In the Make-belief world of the Nigerian film industry, Jide Kosoko has been there, done that, and still doing it: In the early days of traveling theatre he was there with the Ifelodun and Awada kerkeri. In the early years of Nigerian films he made his mark starring in one of the blockbusters of the time: Ade love's Taxi Driver. Come the Home video Industry era, he contributed his quota with Asiri Ńlá and also starred in Asewo to rẹ Mecca. Both movies were hits and have also transformed into classics. He went on to become a major force as an actor/producer in the Yoruba sector of Nollywood and aside him becoming a household name, he became the 1st President of ANTP.
What more, the father of two beautiful star actresses, Sola and Bidemi is still going on strong as he plays major support roles in Screen Nollywood.
