D.O.D - DAY OF DESTINY : Nollywood's First 'Family Adventure' movie streams on Netflix

Did I miss my stop (I don’t mean Alagomeji to Moniya, Ibadan o) on the train while watching Day of Destiny? I actually did.  I was fully engrossed in this family adventure movie and that’s a real thumbs up from me.

Starring @olumideoworu  and @denolagrey (Castle & Castle). It’s a comedy about two brothers, Chidi and Rotimi Oluremi who accidentally travelled back in time to change their destiny.  Chidi the eldest was never comfortable with his parent’s principled and humble lifestyle.

So, an opportunity of travelling back in time from the year 2020 to 2000 with his brother Rotimi, was a possible solution to change that lifestyle.  They effected the change alright but only to discover that their father and mother are no longer married, their younger sister, Helena don’t know them and worst still, they don’t exist any longer as the Oluremi sons. Complete Gobe!

Brilliant plotting with the use of the Naira currency to establish the time difference, and when Chidi met 2face and hailed him as 2baba. This is one of the many good elements used by the directors, Abosi Ogba and Akay Mason to  put this flick together so well.

The cast lineup was also another impressive element. It includes Blossom Chukwujekwu, Toyin Abraham, Ireti Doyle, Deyemi Okanlawon and Gbemi Akinlade who did a good job playing the two Helenas.

This movie was eventually released in January 2021 so I’m expecting some AMAA nominations come 2022 but in the meantime, you can WATCH IT and RATE IT on NETFLIX
