STAR ACTRESS RITA DOMINIC TURNS 46

Happy Birthday to Nollywood's Coolest, Calm & Collected Star Actress, Rita Dominic. She turns 46 today

A multiple award winning actress, Rita has always been a consentious method actor eversince she signed up to pursue her acting  career and arming herself with a degree in Theatre Arts from  University of Port Harcourt.

Her first movie was titled A Time to Kill. She went from that to act in no less than 150 movies which include some Blockbuster hits like Accidental Discharge with Hank Anuku, All My Life with Ọmọtola Jalade and Zack Orji, Love Story with Francis Suru and Orange Groove with Desmond Elliott to mention a few.

She was also a  lead in Izu Ojukwu's 2007 movie White Waters. A movie that earned as many as 12 AMAA nominations. Her role a lead actress wasn't amongst nominations but Izu Ojukwu never forgets a good hand so he cast her alongside Ramsey Nouah in his next project, a controversial movie based on the 1976 military coup titled '76.

A fashionista to the core, Rita took her career a step further when she diversified into film production and Co-founded The Audrey Silva company TAC with filmmaker, Mildred Okwo. Their first production in 2012, The Meeting Room gave Linda Ejiofor and Femi Jacobs the necessary career boost. Rita also played the  memorable support lead role of Clara (aka OYO is their case).

The company has gone on to produce other impressive films and is currently revelling in the success of its recent effort,  La Femme Anjola which opened to critical acclaim in March 2021.
