Play Network Studios may be extending their Nostalgic Collection beyond Diamond Ring Remake as hinted earlier. The studio recently announced another remake; A Comedy franchise of Aki na'Ukwa.
The remake which will star original actors Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme, is in collaboration with Film One Entertainment and is expected to be released in December 2021.
Biodun Stephens, director of The Ghost and Tout and Breaded Life will be auteuring this audio-visual narrative that tells the story of Aki ( Ikedieze) and PawPaw (Iheme) trying to make a life for themselves and coincidentally fall into fame and wealth with the aid of social media. This unprecedented fortune however threw the mischievous brothers into a world of pleasures, pressures, lies, deceit and enmity.
Created and written by Stephen Oluboyo, other cast members will include Toyin Abraham, Stan Nze, Beverly Osu, Juliet Ibrahim and Anita Asuoha aka Real Warri Pikin Uti Nwachukwu.
