AMINA: Biopic about a Woman Warrior on NETFLIX Soon

 

Come 4th of November the story of the legendary Queen Amina of Zazzau, whose daring courage and conviction set loose a series of upheavals that altered the fate of her people in Zaria, in ways that none could have thought possible, will be streaming on Netflix.

Queen, Amina was the first woman to become the Sarauniya (Queen) and commanded an army of over 20,000 men, and built the great walls of Zaria, known as Ganuwar Amina.

Directed by no other than Izu Ojukwu, the auteur responsible for historical '76' WhiteWaters, Sitanda, starring Lucy Ameh as Amina, Ali Nuhu, Asabe Madaki and Clarion Chukwurah.

This promises to be a cinematic and pleasurable experience offering a historical insight into a female legend from Northern Nigeria.
