Heat is a 1995 action crime thriller starring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.
The real selling point of this Hollywood classic directed by Michael Mann (Collateral, The Insider) was the union of De Niro and Pacino, who, despite starring in The Godfather in 1972, never co-starred or shared a face-to-face scene until this movie. Pacino takes on the role of the determined Lt. Hanna, who is set on dismantling a group of highly skilled thieves led by Neil McCauley, played by De Niro.
Heat was the first collaboration of these veterans. Others include The Righteous Kill in 2008 and Martin Scorsese's Irishman in 2019.
