PAPAPLOLO real name Ayo Ogunshina is one of the actors who advanced the popularity of TV comedy in Nigeria.

He started his acting career when he joined the Traveling Theater of Chief Hubert Ogunde, and he travelled extensively with the Ogunde Theatre along the West African coast.

Papalolo became popular television in the 70s and early 80s first in the TV series, Ajimajasan. He later formed a comedy outfit, Jester International with JACOB (Tajudeen Gbadamosi) and ADERUPOKO (Kayode Olaiya).

The trio became the first set of comedians to release a vinyl record, ‘Pa Jacob is Ku’

Now 83 years old, the veteran who claimed in a 2017 interview that he lacked the comforts of life that an actor of his status should have, starred recently in a Kunle Afolayan movie, Mokalic
