But you know what? I'm going to endure this and suggest, recommend, and advise you do, too. Because the well-written and smoothly paced, six-part series created by Abby Ajayi tells the story of a British Nigerian family saga echoing the travails of African Polygamy in a modern setting
Nina and Simon's inheritance was a rude shock to other family members. |
Deborah Ayorinde (Fatherhood, Girls Trip) leads the impressive cast list that brings us into the world of Stephen Richards(Hugh Quarshie), who builds a massive and successful cosmetic Empire but died suddenly (and curiously) of a heart attack. He, however, willed most of the company’s shareholdings to his two estranged and eldest children, Nina (Ayorinde) and Simon (Emmanuel Imani). It was a rude shock to other members, Gus (Ola Orebiyi), who is assumed to take over; Alesha (Adeyinka Akinrinade), the level-headed, prudent and social media savvy daughter; Wanda (Nneka Okoye), the ‘supposed’ youngest of the family and wife, Claudia (Sarah Niles) who initiated a battle that would reveal some very dark secrets.
