THE WAIT - Emotional drama on Childless Marriage streams on Netflix

Tomi Adesina's task of writing a screenplay that deals with the sensitive and intimate issues arising from various 'Childless Marriages' and compounding it into a singular linear fictional narrative, must have been like setting up a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle. It takes time, real focus, being able to access the situation from all angles, being organised, a knack of never wanting to give up and more importantly, in the case of The Wait, starring Nse Ikpe Etim, Deyemi Okanlawon, Ini Dima Okojie, Chimezie Imoh and a host of other well-cast actors that includes Jimmy Odukoya Meg Otanwa and Joke Silva, a deep understanding of the travails in Childless marriage.

Based on a ‘faith-based’ book, God’s Waiting Room, directed by the duo of Yemi Morafa and Fiyin Gambo, The Wait brings to the fore while ticking all the right boxes for an audiovisual narration, the rather severe challenges faced by individuals and couples in a Childless Marriage.
