Acrimony is perhaps one of the best Tyler Perry movies yet. Suffice it to say that the leads: Taraji P Henson, who is making a second lead feature in Perry’s movies (I can do all by myself) and Lyriq Bent ( Nappily Ever After), did a brilliant job in delivering this brilliantly well-written romantically moralistic drama that captures the life of a young couple, Melinda and Robert Gayle who fell deeply in love at a very young age

They got married, and Melinda had to shoulder the financial responsibility while Robert nursed and pursued the ambition of selling the patent for his battery charger invention. It became the very reason that turned the marriage into a love-hate relationship.
Written and directed by Perry, This feature-length, which could also pass for a romantic thriller, will resonate with a loving, caring husband, nurturing a potential dream or struggling to make ends meet while depending on an equally loving but pragmatic wife who is about to make a U-Turn from their ‘For Better For Worse, For Richer For Poorer’ journey.
It's streaming on Netflix.
