DARK OCTOBER: The story of the infamous ALUU 4 mob lynching streams on Netflix

DARK OCTOBER is undoubtedly an accurate portrayal of the 2012 mob lynching of four ‘innocent’ students, Lloyd Toku, Ugonna Obuzor, Tekena Elkanah, and Chiadika Biringa, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria

Aside from the rather too-long and distasteful gory scenes, the true-life movie directed by Toka McBraror( Merry Men, The Millions) did a brilliant job of intimating us with the backgrounds of the four students: as good friends aspiring and working hard to become World rappers. A necessary build-up to help the audience identify with the real-life characters and establish their innocence. against the painful and gruesome experience that cut their valuable lives so short

Co-written and produced by Nigeria’s foremost blogger, Linda Ikeji,  Dark October, starring Chuks Joseph,  Kelechukwu Oriaku, Kem Ajieh Ikechukwu and Okpara Munachi, is a piece of work that gives a good account of an infamous event dubbed The ALUU 4.
