If The Plan starring Rahama Sadau, Onyinye Ezekwe and Rosy Meurer, had been narrated as a feature-length, it probably wouldn’t have turned out a distasteful drag in this five-part drama.
Leading the cast, Rahama plays Karama, a junior wife of Alhaji Madugu ( Nuhu), an anti graft agency topman who, in the usual Nigerian public officeholder manner, had a heart attack when indicted on corruption charges. He then discreetly transferred a trunk load of Gold Plates worth billion of Dollars to Karama. Not knowing what to do initially, she shares it with her close friends, Atika (Meurer) and Mairo (Ezekwe), to keep it for some time until things cool down. Unfortunately, Karama's friends were only human, and gold can be like piece of fried meat a friend is asking you to keep in your mouth. Motivated by their own problems, Atika and Mairo, desperate for a child spent the gold, which sparked a chain reaction of enmity, illegitimate deals distrust and most of all, unfolding darks secrets
In all, The Plan directed by Dimba Atiya, turns out intriguing and engaging as Alhaji Magudu experiences a 2nd attack.
Also starring Yakubu Mohammed, Paul Sambo, Mofe Duncan and Victor Decker as Baba Jodda.
