ROTI is a powerful and emotional drama about the harrowing loss of an only child.
Starring Kate Henshaw and kunle Afolayan. It tells the story of a married couple, Diane and Kabir, aka KB, who lost their ten-year-old, Roti, to heart disease.
Diane (Henshaw), the mother, was drawn into a long spell of depression and even started believing that her son would return to life thanks to her mother-in-law, who, while consoling her, assured her of a possible reincarnation.
However, things changed when Diane saw a young chap, Juwon, who looked like her son. She began to believe in the possibility of reincarnation, and Kabir’s world began to turn upside down.
A brilliant story written and directed by Kunle Afolayan also stars Fathia Balogun and Taiwo Oshinaike (Jolly Rogers), with a special appearance by Omoladun Afolayan as Diane’s Mother In Law.

Madam Omoladun Afolayan recently turned 80. This Throwback is also to honour the veteran theatre actress and wish the new octogenarian merry happy returns.
