A STREAMING WEEKEND WITH JADESOLA OSIBERU

With the ongoing positive rave on the recently released gritty crime action thriller, Gangs of Lagos, the
Producer/ director Jadesola Osiberu is sealing a pride of place in the Nollywood industry.

The Computer systems engineering graduate had no formal initial training as a Producer, writer or director but a passion and vision to end up in Filmmaking. So while working in a bank as a Digital Marketing team member, she created, developed and directed some content for online media platform Ndani TV, The Juice, Gidi Up, and Rumour Has It.

She later formed her outfit, Tribe 85 and ventured into the main league, Co-producing, writing and directing her debut, Isoken, in 2017. The movie earned a 100 million mark at the box office and the 2018 AMVCA’s Best Film West African Best Director.

Then another box office with Sugar Rush and topped it with a collaborative effort with veteran filmmaker Tunde Kelani to produce the blockbuster biopic, Ayinla. In 2022, she created box office action drama, Brotherhood and her company Greoh Studios, signed a mega deal with steaming giant Amazon Studios.

From her body of works, it’s clear that Jade is diverse and adventurous as a filmmaker but, more importantly, using those qualities to tell those stories that positively impact its viewers.

ScreenNolly invites you to spend a streaming (Coronation) weekend with this ‘Nollywood Evangelist’ of cinematic substance setting new standards and pathways in Nollywood.
