Popularly known as Mama G and probably the best ‘Mother-In-Law’ Nollywood has produced through various family comedy movies, legendary actress, Patience Ozokwor has become a household name best known for her exceptional portrayal of the Dominating Mother or Mother In Law
Her professional journey began in the late 90s right after completing a course in Fine and Applied Arts, working as a Teacher and a Voice actor at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
In 1999, she appeared in three movies, including Ijele, directed by Fred Amata and written by Tchidi Chikere. By 2001, she had featured in seven more films, solidifying her reputation as a versatile actress to watch. From then on, Ozokwor became one of the busiest actors in Nollywood, consistently starring in at least five movies annually. Some of her notable performances include One Dollar, A comedy movie also starring Jim Iyke and Victor Osuagwu, Blood Sisters with Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Old School instalments where she derived her moniker, Mama G or G for General, Love After Love with Justus Esiri and Rita Dominic, Emem Isong’s Private Sin and Mr Trouble, a classic comedy she pulled off with Nkem Owoh, and a crossover language movie, Eyin Oka.
Ozorkwo also transitioned onto the silver screens with notable roles in The Wedding Party 2, Chief Daddy and Funke Akindele’s Everybody Loves Jenifa

n After The Dark and an AMVCA Industry Merit Award for Outstanding Contributions to Nollywood in 2016. In 2022 she was bestowed with a National Honour - Member of The Federal Republic (MFR)
