Directed by Akay Mason and Adebayo Tijani, with a screenplay by Yakubu Omowale, the story follows Perosola (Dada), a successful young executive and bride-to-be, who has just been appointed to take over her father’s steel company. But her world is turned upside down when she discovers a long-hidden family secret: Chief Balogun (Odule), the man she has always known as her father, is not her biological dad.
Her real father is Ifeanyi, a man who fell in love with her mother, Ireti, during their NYSC service year. Though their relationship didn’t survive, it resulted in the birth of Perosola, who was raised without any knowledge of her true paternity.
The shocking revelation triggers emotional turmoil, leading to Perosola confronting and falling out with her mother, meeting her biological father for the first time, and beginning to distance herself from the only family she has ever known.
Ada Omo Daddy is a heartfelt family drama that thoughtfully explores the meaning of fatherhood, examining the roles of both biological and psychological fathers through an engaging drama with some emotional and cultural depth.
