A 2006 movie starring Fathia Balogun, Deji Adenuga, Opeyemi Aiyeola, and Mama Rainbow.
Written and produced by Sanni Alli, Eto Igbeyawo tells the heartfelt story of Joke (Balogun), a newlywed determined to build a perfect marriage but at a cost. In her quest to maintain order and set boundaries in her new home, Joke begins to distance herself from her family, including her parents and mother-in-law.
Her rigid approach and strict household rules, such as requiring family members to schedule visits and even refusing to let her sister stay over, ultimately led to devastating consequences. She loses her husband, Bode (Adenuga), to their housemaid, Labake (Aiyeola), who had secretly schemed her way into their lives with a hidden vendetta from the past.
Directed by Abiodun Olarenwaju, Eto Igbeyawo is a classic tale with a powerful lesson about love, family, and the consequences of shutting out those who matter most. It also features a seasoned cast that includes Fausat Balogun and Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo)
