Three Roads to Tomorrow is a 1958 feature documentary produced by Greenpark Productions for British Petroleum (BP).
The film follows the symbolic journeys of three students representing the Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo regions as they travel from their distant hometowns to the University of Ibadan. Filmed in the final years before Nigeria’s independence, it portrays a nation on the verge of modernisation and united through education and shared aspiration.
Rather than actors, the documentary featured real students, offering a rare visual narrative of Nigeria’s regional diversity, youth ambition, and the promise of a new future.
