Bamitale is a 2009 drama starring Funke Akindele in the titular role, alongside Femi Adebayo and Mosun Filani. Set against the backdrop of religious differences between Islam and traditional Yoruba beliefs, the film follows Bamitale, whose life takes a dramatic turn after a heated clash with a fellow schoolmate, Malik, during a youth meeting.
That single altercation sparks a long-standing feud between them, one that escalates further following an abduction incident, turning both into sworn enemies. It is only much later that they come to realise the conflict was never worth the turmoil it caused.
Directed by Muyiwa Ademola—who also features in the film—the cast includes Oga Bello, Mercy Aigbe, Fathia Balogun, and Eniola Afeez.
