Born on April 10, 1986, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigerian actor and model Alexx Ekubo became one of Nollywood’s most recognisable leading men, celebrated for his charisma, elegance, and versatility on screen. Rising to prominence after emerging as the first runner-up at the 2010 Mr Nigeria contest, Ekubo built a successful acting career spanning over a decade with appearances in romantic dramas, comedies, and blockbuster productions.
Throughout his career, Ekubo starred in several memorable Nollywood productions, including the romantic drama Weekend Getaway (2012), which helped establish him as a household name, the acclaimed cultural drama Áfàméfùnà: An Nwa Boi Story (2023), and the fan-favourite romance A Man for the Weekend (2017).
