A Place in the Stars is a crime drama inspired by the tenure of the late Prof. Dora Akinyuli when she was the NAFDAC boss.
Set in Jos and Abuja, the movie tells the story of a young PR lawyer, Kim Dakim brilliantly played by Gideon Okeke (Tinsel Town) who had some cruel information about a fake drug trafficking business owned by Diokpa Okonkwo (Segun Arinze). Though battling with his conscience, Kim was bent on exposing Diokpa after almost getting killed in a car accident he believed was a set up. Sadly Kim lost his highly principled father, Pa Dakim played by Veteran actor and fmr. Village Headmaster cast member, Dejumo Lewis, to the of use fake drugs.
If there is anything that stands out in this movie directed by Steve Gukas (93 Days), it will obviously be the brilliant casting skill of Femi Branch and Dejumo Lewis as Pa Dakim, Kim's father. Segun Arinze, Yemi Blaque and Matilda Obaseki also fitted perfectly into their characters.
