Blood Sisters is a well-known Nollywood film from 2003, starring Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, alongside Patience Ozokwor and Tony Umez. The story follows two sisters, Esther (Nnaji) and Gloria (Jalade-Ekeinde), who become entangled in a web of jealousy, hatred, and rivalry that leads to devastating consequences
Nnaji plays Esther, the younger sister who is determined to outdo her older sibling at all costs. Jalade-Ekeinde plays Gloria, a calm and kind character who tries to keep the peace even when she’s being wronged. Both actresses give strong performances that help carry the emotional weight of the story.
The film was written and directed by Tchidi Chikere and John Nkeiruka Nwatu. It also features Oge Okoye, and child actor Chelsea Gabriel.
Blood Sisters marked one of the first major collaborations between Nnaji and Jalade-Ekeinde, who later appeared together in Ije: The Journey (2010), a film that went on to break box office records.
