SCREENNOLLY THROWBACK - Funke Akindele's Jenifa

A scene from Jenifa starring Funke Akindele. Directed by Muyideen S. Ayinde, the 2008 comedy marked Akindele's breakthrough and crossover and also earned her the 2009 AMAA award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. The 2008 Olasco Films production also received three other nominations for Supporting Role, Best Original Soundtrack, and Best Nigerian Film.

It also featured Iyabo Ojo, Mosun Filani, Ronke Odusanya, and others. Akindele's company, Scene One Production, later acquired the rights and produced the series Jenifa's Diary.
