ADU, MOVIE ABOUT GLOBAL REFUGEE CRISIS STREAMS ON NETFLIX

Adu is a gripping drama about the illegal African migration into Europe. Though intertwined with three stories, the real focus is on Adu (Moustapha Oumarou), a six-year-old boy whose life became miserable when he and his sister Alika (Zayiddiya Dissou) had to escape the wrath of some Elephant poachers they saw in the day.

Not knowing if their mother is dead or alive, Adu and Alika embark on a life-threatening and unprecedented journey, hoping to end up in Europe to meet with their father.

Alika couldn't make it, but Adu, with new a friend, Masser (Adam Nourou), did.

Directed by Salvado Calvo, the movie was well crafted to appeal to emotions. Though Child actors, Oumarou, Dissou and Nourou, performed brilliantly,  Oumarou's interpretation of the lead role, Adu, is undoubtedly outstanding.

Dialogue in Spanish and French, and subtitled in English, Adu cooped 14 nominations and four wins at the 2021 edition of the Goya Awards.

It's Must-See on Netflix
