A WEEKEND WITH NANCY ISIME ON NETFLIX

Nancy Isime is very hardworking and is surely reaping the benefits. Co-leading in the successful Netflix Drama Series, Blood Sisters is an attestation that the Edo-born actress, TV Presenter and Model is becoming one of the most sought after in the make-believe world of Nollywood.

Isime’s first exposure to the public glare was as a model, where she catwalked for major labels such as Ade Bakre, Zizi Cardow and Adebayo Jones. She also took part in some beauty pageants and won the 2009 Miss Valentine International beauty pageant and 1st runner-up in the Miss Telecoms Nigeria beauty contest.

Her acting career began TV series Echoes in 2011, and in 2015 she starred in her first feature, HEX; all the while, Isime, who graduated diploma in Social work from the University of Lagos, had already ventured into TV presentation, starting with The Squeeze, What's Hot and then a backstage cover host for MTN Project Fame's 7th season. In 2016 she was cast as a suitable replacement for O.A.P Toke Makinwa as the new presenter of Hip TV's show, Trending. As a result, she was voted to co-host the 2019 edition of The Headies award. Also, in 2019, she started her own TV show, The Nancy Isime Show.

In just about five years from 2016, Isime has featured and starred in over 15 movies which include top hits like A Trip to Jamaica, Hire a Man, Hire a Woman, Merry Men 1 & 2, The Millions, Kambili: The Whole 30 Yards and Superstar (streaming on Amazon Prime). She earned two Best Actress nominations for her performances in Kambili and Superstar at the 2022 AMVCA awards.
