Charge & Bail is a legal drama with a comedic twist starring Zainab Balogun (Sylvia, Royal Hibiscus Hotel), Stan Nze (Rattlesnake), Bimbo Manuel and Femi Adebayo.
Zainab played the foreign-trained lawyer Bona Ossai from a wealthy family who had just returned to Nigeria to join her father’s law firm. But since she had to serve the mandatory one-year National Youth Service, Bona ended up in a Charge & Bail law firm run by two brothers, Wole (Adebayo) and Dotun (Nze) Adebutu
Practicing
law in such an environment wasn't Bona's plan, as she wanted to specialize in
Technology Law. But she eventually fit into the hustle and bustle of looking
for clients around the court's premises and even ended up with a case that
ensued into a legal battle with her father, Olisa Ossai played by Bimbo Manuel.
The 95-minute
feature-length directed by Uyoyou Adia ticks all the boxes regarding production
standards and quality, especially in casting. It had a fine blend of actors
depicting the objectivity and attention to detail required from a first draft
script.
