Social Class difference, Romance and Parenting are the
indices used to create the 2016 hit comedy-drama Picture Perfect. Starring Mary
Remmy, Bolanle Ninolowo and Bisola Aiyeola, this touching and emotional flick
directed by Tope Alake, was penned, screenwritten and produced by Biodun
Stephen (Dir. Breaded Life, Progressive Tailors Club) as her second
award-winning Nollywood venture.
Mary Remy plays Kumbi, aka Ms Kanko, a well-to-do Fashion
designer with a chip on her shoulder and a long distanced, unfruitful
relationship. She met a well-known area tout, Jobe (Ninolowo), who rescued her
from the fang of his colleagues when her car broke down. They developed a sweet
and sour relationship that thrived and eventually produced something beautiful
after a 'foolish mistake'. But Kumbi was
not going to allow Joba to have a stake in the 'beautiful something.'
The 2hr 10min feature length is a good Nollywood movie that will keep you glued till the well-played climax, where both lead actors, Remy and Ninolowo, gave an outstanding performance.
Also starring Bisola Aiyeola and cameo appearances from Ronke Oshodi Oke and the Waka Queen, Salawa Abeni.
