Then Barbara met Alan is a real-life drama documenting the activities of Barbara Lisicki and Alan Holdsworth. The couple founded DAN, a Disability Activism group that fought using a 'Non-Violence Civil protest' that led to the Disability Discrimination Act of 1995 and Equality Act of 2010.

Starring Ruth Madeley as Barbara and Arthur Hughes as Alan Holdsworth, the drama tells the story of how a disabled couple who originally were cabaret performers but later became a significant force in championing the cause of the Disable people.
