Kehinde Bankole has been described as ‘Nigeria's rarest performing, theatre & Film export’,

Born in Ogun State, Nigeria, as a twin,  Bankole began informal drama and music training while at school but initially broke into the media world as a model in 2004, 


Her acting career began while she was a Lux brand ambassador in the TV series Super Story. She went on to play minor roles in The Meeting Room and Two Brides and a Baby before securing a major support role as ‘Teacher Tawa’ in Kunle Afolayan’s October 1st. This earned her an AMVCA nomination for Best Actress.  


From then on, Ms Bankole didn’t have to prove herself any further. The star roles just kept rolling in: Desperate Housewives of Africa, Bachelor’s Eve, The Set-Up, Dear Affy Mama Drama, Country Hard, Finding Hubby, The Prophetess, and the Netflix-produced drama series Blood Sisters. 

She also plays the lead in Biodun Stephen’s family drama Sista alongside Deyemi Okanlawon and Bisola, which will premiere in the UK in early November 2022. 


Regarded as one of the rare crop of actors from Nigeria, the star actress has also ventured into stage acting. Her credits include playing Hermione Oya in Itan Oginintin, The Duchess (Iyalode) in Iyalode Of Eti, Queen Moremi Nigeria as Queen Moremi and Chronicles of Iya Risi, to mention a few.
