DINNER AT MY PLACE - New Romcom on Netflix

When a guy decides to propose to the love of his life with an expensive and sentimental ring which he cleverly hides in a bowl of egusi stew he prepared for the occasion, his ex-girlfriend turns up and interrupts the candlelight evening with her problems and now shares or instead, devours the bowl of egusi with pounded yam, intended for his fiancée, and unknowingly, mistakenly….. 

That is the comedic scenario that triggers a series of hiccups in the new romantic comedy, Dinner at my place, starring Timini Egbuson (Breaded Life), Bisola Aiyeola (Lady Called Life), and Sophie Alakija (Drawing Strength), amongst others.

Absolutely brilliant scripting by Kevin Apaa, who also directed it (he fordon leave that side sha!) The movie seems too long, but you won't find it boring. Endure the first 20 minutes, and you won't regret it.
