Diamond Ring starring RMD, Sola Shobowale, and Teju Babyface, is a thriller drama written, produced and directed by Tade Ogidan.
It follows the story of Chidi Dike (Babyface), an undergraduate who, for initiation into the campus cult society, had to steal a Diamond Ring from a corpse belonging to Mrs Gladys, played by Liz Benson. He performed the rite with other members who, consequently, died mysteriously. But Chidi, the only child of Chief and Mrs Ijeoma Dike (RMD, Sobowale), got lucky ironically; he got struck with a peculiar illness that could not be diagnosed and got him bedridden for over three months. The only way that he could be cured of the illness is to return the ring.
The 1998 home video production also featured veteran actress Buky Ajayi and Bimbo Akintola.
RMD and Sobowale reunited in another Ogidan production in 2019, titled Gold Statue
