In the highly competitive and dynamic landscape of Nollywood, Stan Nze emerges as a standout figure, his talent and versatility propelling him to A-list status. His captivating performance in "Afamefuna - the Nwa Story" not only earned him a second AMVCA nomination for Best Lead Actor but also underscored his ability to captivate audiences with his acting prowess.
A computer science graduate, Nze, whose real name is Stanley Ebuka Nzediegwu, began his acting journey by honing his skills at the Stella Damasus Arts Foundation. His acting debut came in 2009 when he starred in the TV series Private Sector. This, and a featured role in TINSEL, occupied him until 2013 when he landed his first film role in Chris Eneng’s crime thriller Murder AT Prime Suites.
His next project was an actor/producer venture in a 2015 movie titled Bad Drop. In 2016, he landed his first lead role in Judith Audu’s family drama production, Just Not Married. His skilful acting undoubtedly contributed to the movie's success and rave reviews, including a screening at the Toronto Film Festival and various nominations, including Best Lead Actor, at the 2016 ZAFAA and BON Awards editions.
Nze’s brilliant portrayal in Just Not Married as Duke, a son grappling with familial responsibilities, must have caught the attention of the Play Network executives, who charged him with leading the cast in their 2020 remake project, Rattle Snake — The Ahanna story. Nze never disappointed the executives and returned home, winning all three Best Actor categories for the 2021 City People Awards, BON Awards, and AMVCA editions.
