With MOMIWA director Biodun Stephen has achieved another success, following the triumph of "SISTA." This heartfelt family drama stars Blessing Jessica Obasi, Uzor Arukwe, and Iyabo Ojo.
Written in collaboration with Gift Collins (Unusual Love), Stephen navigates us through the journey of Chinazo, also known as Momiwa (Obasi), a kind-hearted roadside trader who selflessly takes on the responsibility of caring for Nato's(Arukwe) children after their mother, Kiki (Ojo), abandons them during hard times. As Nato's circumstances improve, Momiwa moves in as the governess, but her role extends far beyond that, and her compassionate nature profoundly impacts everyone around her. Especially when corny wifey Kiki reappears after many years, and at Momiwa's urging, Nato forgives her and accepts her back into their lives.
Like many of Stephen's narratives, MOMIWA is uniquely compelling. Its storyline and Obasi’s stellar performance reinforce the importance of family, love, and second chances, leaving audiences deeply moved and inspired.
