From chart-topping singles to full-length albums, these multi-talented performers have proven their artistry knows no bounds.

                                                   Genevieve Nnaji

The iconic Genevieve Nnaji briefly explored music in 2004 with her studio album One Logologo Line. The album gained attention for its novelty by featuring the hit single No More. Though her music career was short-lived, it highlighted her willingness to explore her creative talents. Genevieve remains one of Nollywood’s most celebrated stars, firmly rooted in acting.

                                                         Bisola Aiyeola

A powerhouse of talent, Bisola Aiyeola rose to fame after Big Brother Naija in 2017. Signed to Temple Music in 2018, she released hit singles like Luchia, Controlla, and the energetic Broda Luku, amongst others. Her 2020 album The Playlist was well-received, cementing her as a multi-faceted entertainer. While she shines on screen, her impressive vocals and songwriting skills showcase her versatility.

                                                       Dakore Akande

Before becoming a household name in Nollywood, Dakore Akande dabbled in writing songs with Afro-jazzy sounds. In 2009, she released Don’t Make Me as part of a planned EP, Dakorious. Though she shifted her focus to acting, her musical endeavours hinted at the potential to stand alongside icons like Asa, Yinka Davies and TY Bello.

Gabriel Afolayan

Known musically as G-Fresh, Gabriel Afolayan effortlessly balances his dual careers as an actor and singer. With an impressive filmography and a catalogue of over 20 songs, including hits like Awelewa, Kokoro Ife, Amoke, Ife Re, Weytin Dey, Gbere De, and I Ride With You, he has established himself as a creative force in both industries. Following in the footsteps of his legendary father, Ade Love, Gabriel has carved a niche in the love ballad genre while earning acclaim as a brilliant actor. His talent and dedication continue to build a lasting legacy in film and music.

Jennifer Eliogu

Jennifer Eliogu is a multifaceted talent. She is celebrated as a Nollywood actress and a singer, seamlessly balancing both careers. She began her acting journey in 1997, establishing herself over many years before taking a break in 2012 to explore her passion for music. Her debut single, Ifunanya, began her music career, followed by other notable tracks such as You and I, A.S.A., and Onulu Ube. Through these, Eliogu crafted a soulful Afro-soul gospel sound that garnered widespread acclaim. 

 Despite returning to acting with featured roles, she continues to pursue music as a full-time passion, balancing both creative outlets.

Adesua Etomi

Star actress Adesua Etomi, celebrated for impressive roles in hit movies like Sugar Rush, King of Boys and Gangs of Lagos, ventured into the music world in 2020 under the stage name Susu, making her debut with the single So Natural. The music video, directed by hubby Banky W—a renowned Nigerian singer, songwriter, and music executive—added an extra layer of artistry to the release and garnered wide acclaim. Adesua followed her debut with two more singles, Too Much and Hold You Down, showcasing her creative versatility and passion for music, further solidifying her identity as a multi-talented artist.

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde

Known as “Omosexy,” Omotola ventured into music in 2005 with her debut album Gba, featuring tracks like Naija Lowa and The Things You Do to Me. She followed this with Me Myself and Eyes and later worked on a third album in Atlanta, aiming for global appeal. Despite releasing three albums, Omotola remains best known for her illustrious acting career, with music reflecting her artistic range.

Efa Iwara

Before gaining fame with films like Seven and A Lady Called Life, Efa Iwara was well-grounded in music as a hip-hop artist. He formed the group X Factor with DJ Clem and released the EP Waka in 2011, followed by a full album in 2020. His track Love and Hate featured in the romantic comedy Soft Love, where he also starred.

Stella Damasus

Stella Damasus began her career as a studio session singer before becoming an A-list actress. Her 2016 gospel album The Alternative showcased her vocal prowess, blending R&B and gospel influences. Stella often intertwines music with acting, contributing to film soundtracks and maintaining her status as a dual-threat entertainer.
