Madam Dearest is a 2005 gripping drama written and directed by Tade Ogidan, and starring Opeyemi Aiyeola, Yemi Solade, Sola Sobowale, and Deji Adenuga.
The story follows Bukola (Aiyeola), a devoted housewife longing for a child. Her life takes a tragic turn when her husband is wrongfully accused and sentenced to a long prison term. While he’s behind bars, Bukola faces relentless pressure from family members, especially from her manipulative Aunty Seyi (Sobowale). Eventually, she falls into an affair with her Ghanaian houseboy, Daniel (Solade), and eventually gives birth to a son.
And just when she thinks her life has found some stability, her husband unexpectedly gets an early release… and that’s when the real chaos begins.
The three-part movie also features memorable appearances from Akin Lewis, Lere Paimo, Bukky Ajayi, and Gabriel Afolayan.
