WOMAN KING - An All Female Crew tells story of Dahomey's All female Warrior, Agojie

The Woman King, an epic action drama movie about an all-female warrior known as Agojie from the then West African territory of Dahomey, leaves up to expectation. Hollywood star actress Viola Davis stars as General Nanisca, the head of the warriors, also known as the Amazons, who were the Kings’ personal bodyguard and a military regiment trained to fight and defend the Kingdom from slavery.

Alongside the Oscar-winning actress is an ensemble of the cast that includes rising star Thuso Mbedu, whose role performance as Nawi, the young d fearless, refusing to be 'married off, was nothing but exceptional. The South African star who debuted in Amazon Prime's The Underground Railroad might be cruising for an Oscar nomination with this incredible performance. Others include Lashana Lynch, Sheila Atim, Nollywood's rising star, Jimmy Odukoya and John Boyega as King Gezo have a wonderful performance.

Kudos also go to the Amazons behind the Cameras, the all-female crew led by Gina Prince Bythewood. The two-time NAACP image award winner gave the 135-minute feature-length a consistency of character build-ups and tension in the well-choreographed battle scenes that would keep the audience glued to the end.

Prince - Bythewood, who wrote and directed the 2002 hit movie Love & Basketball, must have had good chemistry working with British cinematographer Polly Morgan, the only female member of the American and British Society of Cinematographers - ASC, BSC. City of Angels screenwriter Dana Stevens screenplay the story and also co-wrote it with The Mummy Trilogy Co-Star Maria Bello. Davis is also a co-producer
