Anee Icha must have missed being in front of the cameras because the top cast member of Castle & Castle seems to have brought her a game-playing lead in Oyoyo Adia’s new flick, Casa de Novia, streaming on Prime Video.
This heartwarming comedy-drama written by the duo Saniya Alasia and Niyi Akinmolayan traces the journey of Yoyo (Icha), an aspiring investigative journalist determined to find accommodation near her workplace. Despite securing a room in an enchanting mansion where wealthy socialite Efosa Igbinovian (Tayo Arimoro) tragically passed away three years ago, Yoyo soon realises that the house isn't quite the bargain she expected.
Except for the ‘Hank Anuku’ reincarnate in the form of ‘Esosa Igbinovia’ (also played by Arimoro), everything in casting and acting was brilliant, compliments by Tope Tedela, Eso Dike, Lilian Esoro and Lizzy Jay’s mild spicing asTawa worked perfectly fine. Though still with excesses, the VFX added more depth to the narrative this time.
Highly recommended to watch on Prime Video.
